Ongoing Projects

The Christian Alliance currently operates projects in mission fields and disaster areas with immediate and pressing needs. Special projects include:

 

Africa Projects - Liberia, Kenya, Zimbabwe (Africa University)
Christian Alliance continues to work with church mission groups to send containers to Africa. On our property in Pearland, we have two containers ready to ship to Africa. We sent a container going to Tanzania filled with school desks, furniture and equipment for a primary school in East Africa. We sent a container to Uganda containing books on a project with United Methodist Church.  A medical clinic and a medical housing container and x-ray unit sponsored by Sugar Land United Methodist Church went to Providence Children’s Home in Kenya. A container filled with farming equipment sponsored by Waller Baptist Church went to Kenya and another container is scheduled to go to the Church of God in Christ (Save Africa’s Children) in Kenya.

 

Haiti
We have shipped 34 containers including 13 mobile medical and dental clinics to Haiti.  We plan to follow up on a mission plan for 2011 and 2012.

 

Donations continue to be accepted for relief needs.

The Grace Project for Local Food Distribution
Christian Alliance continues to distribute food to locations in the Greater Houston Area on a semi-monthly basis. This continues to be a real blessing to residents of the Port Houston and the Third Ward in Houston.  As funding permits, the budget will be increased to provide 33 poverty areas of Houston with regular food distribution.
